Believing in The Right Way

This morning, out of nowhere, I heard the phrase “Believe in the right way.” I felt this message appear after a week of feeling mixed emotions. On the road, I even came across a sign that said, “Do not be sad, Allah is with you.”. The writing was written in Indonesian on the rear window of the car.

That morning, there was indeed something weighing on my heart, lingering until noon, even into the evening. And unintentionally, due to vague anxiety mixed with drowsiness, I accidentally deleted some important files. They were important. Unfortunately, the data could not be recovered.

I see this as an act of foolishness and carelessness. I tried to reflect on what I had experienced. At that moment, I should have calmed myself down for a moment. But everything has happened. God allows things to happen so that we can reflect on our lives more often. So, what does this have to do with having the right kind of faith? Sometimes, the problems we face can occur due to several things, whether it be our own mistakes or things beyond our control. If we are careful and remain calm in any situation, perhaps the problems we face will not be as big as what will happen, in this case, losing files. The truth is, at that time, I was too caught up in sadness that really didn’t need to be thought about too deeply. If I have tried my best but the results are not as expected, perhaps there will be no regrets. However, when we do not maximize our potential and then things happen that are not in line with our expectations, this is the wrong way to have faith. Faith without action is worthless. Action is not just about doing something, but really putting in the effort. So, what lesson did I learn from this incident?  From this experience, I learned to focus on my work, stay calm, and maximize my potential. Things beyond my control, let the Creator handle them. Promise yourself to become a complete human being, to have faith in the right way, so that life is truly meaningful, and there are no unnecessary regrets in life.
